Just a quick update for this week, and I’ll try to keep this brief.
First off, sneak peek of The Aos Si’s Gift are now available to view for free beginning with the prologue. I’ve also done what I can to improve navigation for sneak peeks and short stories, at least for now.
Second, I added a post to the Blog subsection of the blog, “Random Ruck Thoughts: Discomfort, Comfort Zones, and Self-Improvement.” It’s pretty much what it sounds like, some random thoughts I had on a six-mile ruck.
Third, I’ve made an addition to the Sneak Peeks page format. There are now links to purchase The Aos Si’s Gift on the left side under the navigational links between chapters. The print copies all link to IngramSpark which is the print service which I use. So, copies purchased through those links will be sent directly from the printer while supporting my work better than retail will do. The eBook link is to Amazon, but I may change where that link goes as Amazon has made some changes to the manner in which they share royalties with writers. Either way, I do ask that anyone looking to buy avoid the paperback edition on Amazon, as their price is, for some reason, set below my printing costs. I don’t know what I did to piss Amazon off, but there doesn’t seem to be much that I can do about it right now.
Finally, due to a busy couple of weeks, I’ve had to put work on the follow-up to The Aos Si’s Gift on hold. I’ve been resuming work where I left off in the second draft while I’m also floating some final fixes and changes to be made going into the third draft. While I’m more satisfied with the second draft than the first, I realize that there are still problems with the story path that need to be fixed in order for there to be a proper lead-in to the third book.
I hope everyone has a blessed day.
