I was finally able to find the time to work on another dedicated article about The Aos Si’s Gift. The two previous articles are as follows:

• The first article taking a deep dive into it is, “The Aos Si’s Gift.” In that article, I touch briefly on the plot, inspirations, and process of building The Aos Si’s Gift.
• “Cartography of the Kingdom” is the second article where I start talking about the process which I used to make the maps.

I intend to close out some of this discussion (maybe) by talking about taking a small region within a larger map, then expanding it to be its own map. I don’t think I’ll do much with city maps, largely because my city map notes are so utterly trashy that I think no amount of GIS software will ever fix them.

Either way, the full article I’m talking about is up on the Screaming Into the Void Substack as “Making the Map of the Continent.”

That being said, I have an announcement and some updates to make.

First off…well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so:

I’ve enabled the mass-market paperback size version of The Aos Si’s Gift for global distribution. So, it should be available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble at the very least soon. I will be updating the relevant pages as I am able to verify that each one is available. It is also available through IngramSpark eCommerce.

In the meantime, I will be updating the website to include the additional, relevant purchase links. Right now, the pricing is as follows for The Aos Si’s Gift:

• Hardcover: $29.99
• Trade Paperback: $24.99
• Mass Market Paperback: $19.99
• eBook: $7.99

It’s about 280,000 words…about 669 pages in the mass market paperback. Note that the trade paperback and hardcover both have lower page counts due to differences in page size and formatting. That being said, the mass market paperback is a great throwback. It’s surface size is about 4.24″ x 7″. So, it should fit readily in a pocket or small bag.

I dusted off a tower that I should be able to set up as an off-network server to start doing digital artwork and audio/visual editing. We’ll see how that works out. Either way, chapter 5 of The Aos Si’s Gift will be going live over on the Screaming Into the Void substack on Thursday sometime around 1000. I’ll post another update here when everything is live and ready to go for readers.
